Joyous Chinese Cultural Center
Traveling to China to finalize your adoption is just the beginning of a wonderful journey with our children! Our children are a unique blend of cultures that can make their lives very special and exciting. Learning about China and gaining an understanding of the language will empower our children and greatly increase their appreciation of the two cultures that form their identity. Furthermore, as China becomes a global power, a familiarity with the Chinese culture and language will greatly boost your child’s personal successes, and will enhance his/her individual growth.
The Joyous Chinese Cultural Center was created in 1996 to provide adoptive families of CCAI a sense of belonging to, and pride in, their children’s initial heritage. JCCC programs offer an opportunity to learn basic spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, as well as Chinese dance, art, songs, and games. At JCCC, families meet Chinese role models and share entertaining lessons, projects, and activities in a warm, friendly community setting. It's a distinctive place for our children to spend time with families who are just as diverse as their own.
JCCC programs are open to all adopted Chinese children, as well as their siblings and friends. We also offer Adult classes and Distance Learning materials.
